Born in Cottingham in the East Riding of Yorkshire.- Educated at Beverley High School.
- Trained as a nurse at Guy’s Hospital, London.
- Midwifery Certificate, Cambridge.
- Looked after refugees in Algeria and Morocco during the French/Algerian war.
- Spent 4 years as a stewardess with B.O.A.C.
- Trained as a teacher, teaching all subjects at primary level but specialised in art, music and cricket.
- Married and raised two daughters and helped to run her husband’s financial business.
Started watercolour painting over 25 years ago. Commissions soon followed. Enjoys the challenge of watercolour and her atmospheric paintings are full of colour and light, echoing her delight in her surroundings whether at home or on her travels with her paintbrush. In the last few years has painted in Venice, Prague, S W France, Tuscany, Crete, Cyprus, Sardinia, Canada, USA, Chile, the Falklands, Australia, and New Zealand. Many of her paintings have been made into cards.
She has enjoyed painting with well known artists including Ken Howard R.A., Lucy Willis, Jenny Wheatley, John Yardley, Mike Chaplin, and Trevor Waugh.
Patricia enjoys painting commissions. Her commissions have included individual houses, gardens, animals, H.M.S. Bulwark for the Coachmakers and Coach Harness Makers Livery and 47 illustrations for a children’s book.
A large portion of the proceeds from her watercolour, oil, and acrylic pictures and cards is given to charity.
